About Turning Point Internet Project
The project is for people with mental health difficulties and our aim is to work towards increasing individual’s skills and independence in a safe environment and provide a stepping stone to voluntary work, employment and/or further education. The Internet Gift Shop will sell arts and crafts that are made at the service by service users.
The project will work in the following ways:
- 2 sessions per week run by a project worker and a second member of staff
- The sessions will consist of the following and individuals will be able to get involved with any or all of the areas:
- Arts & Crafts and/ or Basic IT skills
- Photography
- Uploading photographs and descriptions of items to the web site and learning the administration process for the internet shop
- Managing orders and getting orders posted and checking stock/ ordering materials
